Community Illegal Dumpsite Cleanup

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS ON APRIL 20th
The Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) as part of the Community Illegal Dumpsite Cleanup Program funded by Pennsylvania American Water will conduct the following Cleanup in Partnership with the North Branch Land Trust:

Hanover Crossings Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary
9:00am – 1:00pm

We will meet on Robinson Circle, Hanover Township
Please follow the directions below.
This event will focus on cleaning up illegally dumped trash and debris throughout the Hanover Crossings Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary between the area of Spencer Road and Robinson Circle, and the Pond located along Hanover Street located within the Hanover Industrial Park.
On the morning of the cleanup, volunteers will gather for registration and instructions. After registration, volunteers will be provided with gloves and trash bags and safety vest. When supplies are distributed and instructions have been provided, volunteers will break up into groups to conduct the cleanup.
Individuals, scouting groups, 4H groups, environmental clubs, businesses, college and university clubs and high school students are invited to be part of this effort. (Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or have a parent/guardian sign a registration/insurance sheet prior to the cleanup. Anyone over 18 can sign the insurance form the day of the event.)

Directions: Robinson Circle, Hanover Township
From PA-309: take the rte. 11 exit (the Kingston exit); travel about 3.5 miles and turn left over the Carey Ave Bridge; travel 1.2 miles and turn right onto South Main Street; travel 2 miles and turn left into the Hanover Industrial Park onto New Commerce Blvd.; Take the second right turn onto Lasley Ave; then turn Right onto Robinson Circle. Travel around the circle to the registration area.
From 81S: Travel 81 S to the Nanticoke Exit (Ste. Rte. 29); from the Ste. Rte. 29 take Exit 1-Ashley. Travel through the light to the stop sign and make a right onto New Commerce Blvd.; Turn left onto Lasley Ave.; Make a left onto Robinson Circle; travel around the circle to the registration area.
