Hike the Seven Tubs

Posted on: August 13, 2017

Join Brian and Paula for a hike at a local gem know as the Seven Tubs.

The Seven Tubs Nature Area, located off of Bear Creek Boulevard (Route 115), Wilkes-Barre, offers a unique view of holes gouged from glacier melt into bedrock. These “tubs” or holes fill with stream water to make a unique waterway and falls. Hike up to the top and work your way back down while encountering beautiful areas of dense forest and streams.

Search for the illusive Hobbit Doors left by a secret woodsman with the whimsy of gnomes and fairies present with their discovery.

This is a moderate to difficult 3 mile hike requiring proper footwear (no flip-flops or sandals), water, and stamina. Bring snacks or enjoy lunch after the hike

Meet in the parking lot by 12:45 so we may start the hike on time. Registration is required with a limit of 20 people.

Note that this event may be cancelled due to heavy rain or low registration. In that case, we will make every effort to update our website and contact registrants.
