We Have Something to Crow About - NBLT's 20th Anniversary

Posted on: May 8, 2013

The North Branch Land Trust 20th Anniversary Dinner & Auctions is set for Wednesday, May 8th at the Westmoreland Club in Wilkes-Barre.

The year 2013 brings us to our twentieth year of conserving the region’s most precious natural assets. We are proud of our accomplishments and look forward to celebrating with all our supporters and friends on Wednesday, May 8. Our conservation efforts have always been and will continue to be a community supported effort. We could not do what we do without your support.

This year we are honoring the community of Bear Creek Village with our Community Stewardship Award for their conservation efforts that lead to the protection of 139 acres in their community. What is truly remarkable about this conservation project is the level of community support and cooperation it received.

As a private nonprofit land conservation organization, North Branch Land Trust (NBLT) has been at the forefront of the regional land conservation and smart growth movement, working in northeastern Pennsylvania since 1993 to protect the scenic, natural and working landscapes that sustain us. NBLT has protected over 12,100 acres of land in eight counties and two major watersheds (the Delaware and Susquehanna rivers).

We are looking forward to making this dinner—our major fundraiser of the year—our most successful event ever. The funds we raise through sponsorships, program book advertising, silent and live auction proceeds, and ticket sales are critical for supporting land conservation throughout the region. One hundred percent of your donated dollars go directly to our conservation efforts and benefit all of us in northeastern.

We ask you to consider a dinner sponsorship, a program book ad and/or items for our silent or live auctions in support of North Branch Land Trust and land conservation in your community.
