Valmont Bog Orchid Walk

Sunday, July 30, 2017
Led by Bob Sprague, Native Orchid Conference

North Branch Land Trust is offering you the chance to see and learn about globally rare orchids in NBLT’s Valmont Bog Sanctuary located in Hazleton.

Two Guided Talk & Walk sessions will be held on Sunday, July 30th at 9:00am and 1:30pm

Our presenter and guided walk leader is Bob Sprague from the Native Orchid Conference. The Conference is involved in orchid conservation projects across the continent and states that our bog “is truly a unique phenomenon.”

Access to the bog is extremely limited so this event is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn about the orchids through Bob’s powerpoint presentation and then to actually walk through the bog to view and photograph these rare, fragile beauties growing in the most improbable location.

The Talk & Walk is free to NBLT members and $10 for non-members.
Registration is Required and directions will be given upon registration.

To register, click the “Register Event” below, or email info@nblt.org, or call the office at 570-310-1781. Please indicate which session, morning or afternoon, you will be attending. Space is limited to no more that 25 people per session.
