One of the most important events in the life of North Branch Land Trust is our annual dinner. It not only gives us an opportunity to inform community members on how land conservation contributes to a vigorous economy, vibrant communities and a healthy environment, it also provides vital financial resources to support our mission. In fact, our annual dinner is our most important fund raising event of the year. North Branch Land Trust is in the midst of a remarkably successful year, and it will be a pleasure to share with you glimpses of our success on May 14, 2008, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the beautiful and historic Westmoreland Club in downtown Wilkes-Barre. It will also be a pleasure to honor Eberhard and Mary Louise Faber with our annual Stewardship Award. They are recent easement donors to NBLT and are doing important work for conservation in their Bear Creek community. Our keynote speaker, Kenneth Taylor, will discuss his unique perspective on the value of land conservation. Ken and his wife Caroline live on conserved property in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania—on a farm which has been in the Taylor family since 1797—and in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He will speak to our mission as few others can.
Seats are $75 per person. Contact Linda Thoma at (570) 696-5545 or thoma@nblt.org to make a reservation today. We hope you can join us for this wonderful evening.
