D&L Trail @ Seven Tubs

Posted on: April 21, 2017

The DCNR C2P2 grant program awards grant funding to important public conservation and recreation projects in Pennsylvania.

NBLT is working in collaboration with the Earth Conservancy, PA Department of Forestry, PA Department of Recreation & Conservation and the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L) to complete this important section of trail.

The D&L trail runs 165 miles from Bristol PA just outside of Philadelphia to Wilkes-Barre PA. The trail is nearing completion with a few trail gaps to fill in. It is the hopes of all stakeholders to have the trail 100% completed by 2020. The trail will be a wonderful regional asset for Northeastern Pennsylvania. Trail users will be able to access the trail at Northampton Street and travel to the Seven Tubs, Mountain Top, White Haven and points south.

NBLT is working to complete the final 5.5 miles of trail into Wilkes-Barre. Once complete the trail will be owned and manged by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry.

You can support this project by becoming a member of the Land Trust or making a direct tax deductable donation to NBLT earmarked for the D&L Trail Construction Project.
